June 5th turned out to be an epic day of kiting even though the forecast was showing the light wind. The next 3 days are showing much more wind, let's see what we will get!

This was a full moon party for us.

Biggest turn out for our free discover kitesurfing lesson today. Unfortunately, we didn't have wind when we finished the safety, theory, and equipment to fly the trainer kites. Thanks, everyone for participating in our event and followed the rules.

After everyone left the storm showed up and we had over an hour of solid wind to do some jumps. Congratulations to Bay for breaking his WOO jump record of 8.7 meters personal best.

Lots of wind for the coming days, get ready to FLYYY!

Well, it's not a real May if we don't have the evening storm ride. We finally got the big Monsoon wind even when the forecast didn't show much. It was lots of rain but the wind wasn't very consistent with 15-18 knots, about 20 when it first start. We were out with 9-11m kites.

More wind is on the way this week, join us rain or shine. (We don't kite in thunder and lightning...anymore)

Beaches are opening up, and many of the beginner kiters will run to the beach to kite. If you haven't kite for a long while, you might want to double-check everything like don't forget your pump. Here is a simple reminder step of how to relaunch:

1. DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING. After you drop the kite in the water, lean back and wait until the kite comes in the power zone.

2. check your lines to see if they are cross or not. If not, proceed to step 3, and if yes, then correct it.

3. correct the bar; red is left, and blue is right. Do not cross your hands or reach across the middle. The right hand is for pulling to the right, not pulling to the left.

4. start pulling, if u you want to relaunch on the left pull right (the pulling line must be on top of the others). Pull hard for light wind and downward to your hip.

5. be patience and get it to the edge of the wind window (9 or 3) before getting it up in the air. East the pulling of the line if it's pulling you too much.

* these relaunching steps are for shallow water.

5 years ago today; we had good wind all week. This week is low tide and low wind. But the beginning of June is looking better with some storm on the way.

There are some lesson we can learn from this video:

1. Downwind rider must lower his kite when passing on the opposite. Starboard rule: is right hand in the front has the upwind right of way.

2. Megaloop needs to go high for landing room. The kite will pull you horizontally and you will swing under the kite. If you do not have enough high, you will land with forward force.

3. It's better flatten out horizontally before you land in shallow water. The landing impact with get distributed evenly to keep you safe and your waste harness will act as a cushion also. Impact vest is recommended for riding in low tide.
